Dear reader!

At this point I would like to inform you at irregular intervals about the current status of my project "Between the Notes of Life - Against Antiziganism and Racism".

Cover of the brochure with Manolito Steinbach on guitar

It all started with the creation of a brochure, which has now been published. In it, I report what my grandmother told me as a young boy about her terrible time in the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. That also shaped me and my life. That's why I decided to make my story public. To do this, I would like to hold readings, which will be musically supported by the well-known Romani Weiss Swingtett, in which I play rhythm guitar.

A fundraising campaign on betterplace.org made it possible to finance the design and printing of an A4 brochure - initially in German, an English version is planned (see picture).

There is a short video of the handover by Jörg Spanjer, who was responsible for the design and printing:

This website was also created using donations. Many thanks to Sigrid Busch and Jörg Spanjer, who made this project possible!

Since the brochure and website have been made public, I have been receiving an increasing number of requests for readings with music - which of course makes me very happy!

I am particularly pleased about an inquiry from the University of Liverpool to read from my brochure and play with the Romani Weiss Swingtett. The contact was made through Professor emeritus of German historical studies, languages, cultures and film Eve Rosenhaft. This event is planned for November.

I will report how things go.

If you would like to support my project "Between the Notes of Life" on the donation portal betterplace.org , you can do so using the following link. Thank you very much in advance!
